Returns to Alma Mater to Mentor Future Business and Finance Leaders

Rizco is proud to announce that Marketing Associate, Ava Bongiovanni, has been appointed to the Wall Township High School (WHS) Business & Finance Academy (WBFA) Advisory Board, a program that helped shape her own path and continues to inspire future business and finance professionals.

A true full-circle moment for Ava—who graduated from WHS in 2020 and was once a WBFA student herself—she now joins Rizco Partner and President Debra Rizzi, who has volunteered on the WBFA Advisory Board for more than seven years, serving as Co-President for two.

“We are thrilled to welcome another team member from Rizco to our Advisory Board,” said WBFA Director Lindsay Mossa. “Ava’s creativity, expertise, and passion for marketing will bring a fresh perspective to our program. It’s also exciting to see one of our own WBFA alumni step into a leadership role on our Advisory Board. Ava’s insight and energy will make a real difference, and we couldn’t be happier to have her join us!”

The WBFA, an application-based program, equips students for life after high school through knowledge and real-world exposure to business and finance. The program has become a cornerstone of WHS’s academic community, helping students gain confidence and readiness through partnerships with local organizations and business leaders. Accepted students tailor their elective courses toward these fields and gain access to professional development opportunities, such as internships, mentorships, workshops, volunteering, field trips, shadowing, and seminars—experiences that prepare them for success in higher education and their careers.

As an Advisory Board member representing Rizco, Ava will contribute to WBFA’s continued growth by offering guidance, mentorship, and valuable insight to support student development. Drawing from her experience curating brand-led marketing solutions, she’ll help students understand the importance of communication and strategy as they prepare for college and careers.

Ava commented, “I’m honored to be stepping into a role on the WBFA Advisory Board and give back to my community by helping students I can genuinely relate to. Reflecting on my own path through high school and university, I’m excited to share the skills and knowledge I’ve gained at Rizco to help students excel in their academic and professional journeys.”

Ava’s appointment reflects Rizco’s core values, highlighting the company’s commitment to community engagement and supporting the next generation of business and finance leaders.

About Wall Business & Finance Academy (WBFA)
Since 2009, the WBFA has been preparing Wall High School students for life after high school. Members of the WBFA are provided many opportunities, like internships and professional seminars, that most students don’t experience until they are in college. The WBFA is one of four academies that are ancillary to the Wall High School curriculum. Students who are accepted into the WBFA tailor their elective choices to a focus on business and finance. They must take a minimum of 20 credits of mandatory business courses and successfully complete an internship between the summer of their junior and senior years. Applications are accepted each spring from rising freshmen. For more information, visit whs.wallpublicschools.org under Academics, Academies, “Wall Business & Finance Academy.”
