Rutgers School of Health Professions (SHP) is the nation’s largest, most comprehensive health professions school, with over 35 degree and certificate programs available for entry-level students and practicing health professionals. The school’s mission is to improve lives through quality education, innovative research and scholarship, superior service, and cutting-edge clinical practice.

With a unique and customized faculty orientation program tailored to the individual needs of each new employee, they were looking for Rizco to create a brochure that would help new staff navigate the onboarding process. In addition, it would need to include critical resources for new hires to help them easily navigate their six—to eighteen-month orientation journey and get employees on the road towards success.

Customized Roadmap for Success

We designed a 6”x9” accordion-style brochure with valuable resources to guide new employees through their orientation process. One of the main features of our design was the “employee roadmap” that spans the interior of the brochure. This roadmap allows new faculty members to visualize their onboarding journey regarding milestones to be accomplished rather than a singular linear path to completion. This high-level overview is valuable for breaking down the orientation process into achievable goals from week one through month six and beyond.

QR codes were utilized throughout to provide convenient access to information. From department contacts to a virtual onboarding series and a faculty resource library, this brochure welcomes new staff to Rutgers SHP and prepares them to transition smoothly into their new roles.
