Attracting the right student at The Cooper Union is a three-step process. Therefore, the client came to Rizco to conceptualize and develop collateral to support the admissions process for the classes of 2019 & 2020. Each piece was unique to the three steps; the first was a general introduction, the second focused on the school’s specializations, and the third included critical information for serious applicants. Additionally, the brand’s theme, “Who We Are. What We Do.” was woven throughout the print campaign.

Multiple Touchpoints Matter.
Simplicity to peak interest.
First, a clear-cut and eye-catching handout was developed as a “first look” piece to introduce students in grades 7-9 and counselors to The Cooper Union. We designed this tri-fold brochure, featuring the three primary brand colors — blue, yellow, and red — to help explain each major area of art, architecture, and engineering.
Interactivity to create connections.
Second, we developed an interactive pop-up brochure using the logo icon to inspire the folding technique. This piece tied into the school’s specializations to drive a more significant link with juniors and seniors, enticing them to join The Cooper Union.
Dynamic to leave an impression.
The third and final piece was a view book that described critical information about the three majors, and each was also made into its own smaller booklet, which doubled as an additional handout. The view book left a lasting impression on serious applicants to The Cooper Union.
Your words matter.
My department contracted with Rizco to complete three specific projects, and we could not be happier with the level of customer service, attention to detail, and creative innovation their team provided. Not only were the projects completed to meet our deadlines, the team was very communicative throughout the process. The final products exceeded our expectations and continue to leave lasting impressions on our intended audience.
