Michelle Mazur, Vice President of Operations of Rizco, joined 21 other decorated executives on November 10th who were recognized as the Jersey’s Best Top Marketing and Communications Professionals Under 40 Class of 2021 during a modern-chic celebration at The Car Lofts in Fairfield, NJ.

This recognition is presented by the NJ Ad Club, a professional organization that highlights excellence throughout the communications spectrum in New Jersey. Induction into the Professionals Under 40 Class of 2021 is an honor saved for a selective grouping of professionals each year who represent a commitment, talent, and specialization in the communications industry.

As a dedicated Rizco employee of nine years, Michelle embodies the message of this award by continuing to grow exponentially in her role and giving back to the community. After graduating from Caldwell University with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing, Mazur began her career at Vision Creative Group before joining Rizco in 2011 as a Project Manager.

In 2014, she was promoted to Director of Operations before eventually stepping into her role as Vice President of Operations in 2019. During her time at Rizco, she has aided in expanding Rizco’s service offerings, including Rizco’s digital division in 2019, where Michelle played an integral role in inspiring the next generation of leadership. She also takes on analytic responsibilities that continue to drive the business to the next level.

From a non-profit standpoint, she is the point-person for Rizco’s Grant Program, which is the philanthropic arm of the agency. Through donated and deeply discounted marketing efforts, Michelle has impacted organizations that include but are not limited to the Society for the Prevention of Teen Suicide, LADACIN Network, Thea’s Star of Hope, Oxalosis & Hyperoxaluria Foundation, Monmouth-Ocean Development Council, and Community in Crisis.

From an educational standpoint, Michelle inspires the next generation of designers and marketers by leading Rizco’s high school and collegiate internship program, which has included The Communications High School, Wall High School’s Business and Finance Academy, Bucknell University, and Georgian Court University. Additionally, she sits on Monmouth-Ocean Development Council‘s Education Foundation Committee.

Debra Rizzi, President, and Partner of Rizco, is thrilled about Michelle’s induction stating, “On a daily basis, Michelle is the communications conduit through which each project’s goals and responsibilities are channeled from the client throughout the agency, the “glue” as we call her. You will not find someone more committed to growing a business, pushing to expand her skill set, and giving of herself to better those around her. Mazur is at the core of the award-winning work that comes out of Rizco.”

Michelle commented, “I am extremely honored and humbled to be awarded one of NJ Ad Club’s Jersey’s Best Professional Under 40 Class of 2021! Thank you to my amazing Rizco Family for all of their hard work and dedication each and every day. I wouldn’t have received this award without any of them. My team calls me the “glue” of the office and I am proud to be their glue, even if I may be the “crazy glue” at times. I am so blessed, thank you.”

Michelle resides in Toms River with her husband and two children and is a patron of St. Luke’s Church.
