Rizco welcomes Donald Christensen as an account director and business development specialist. In his new role, Christensen will establish and grow accounts anchored by the work he has handled for statewide community banks and banking organizations, providers to community banks, and the New Jersey Bankers Association.
As an advertising and marketing professional with a wealth of diversified experience, Christensen has worked on both the client and agency sides within a variety of verticals and is highly-regarded in the banking and financial industry. For 16 years prior to joining Rizco, Christensen led the financial services division of his agency, Christensen Tamburri Communications, which was absorbed by the CI-Group in 2016.
“Don has a proven track record for leading and executing marketing campaigns and strategies for community banks throughout New Jersey,” said Rizco’s President + Partner, Debra Rizzi. “His extensive creative background, personalized approach, experience in client relations, and implementing marketing initiatives in the financial services industry complements Rizco’s mission and will play an important role in Rizco’s growth.”

Christensen has created award-winning marketing, advertising, and public relations campaigns for 15 New Jersey banks, and has been a consultant for NJBankers Association for more than 10 years. He has earned the prestigious Certified Business Communication (CBC) designation from the International Business Marketing Association. In 2014, Don was chosen as the sole ad agency representative to the New Jersey Bank Alliance Group. In 2015, he was inducted into the New Jersey Advertising Hall of Fame.
A cum laude graduate of Michigan State University, Christensen holds a degree in advertising. He resides in Bridgewater, New Jersey, and has been the official photographer of the annual New York Times Crossword Puzzle Tournament for over 35 years.
